Local Coast is a veteran-owned apparel brand born from the tides of the Chesapeake Bay. What began as a small collection of sweatshirts and t-shirts, evolved into a movement celebrating authentic coastal living, military pride, and environmental stewardship. Unlike mass-market retailers, Local Coast creates high-quality, locally inspired gear that genuinely reflects the lifestyle and outdoor passions of their community. Their designs capture the essence of coastal experiences – from morning sport sessions to sunset beach walks – while maintaining a commitment to giving back, with 5% of proceeds supporting chosen organizations and marine conservation efforts.

We developed a refreshed website strategy that honored their established brand while creating a more intuitive shopping experience. Our approach focused on maximizing their existing Shopify theme structure while adding strategic elements to improve both aesthetics and functionality. Specifically, adding an immediate ease of shopping to identify interests by sport and gender to reduce click paths.
